Join Us
Guildford Photographic Society welcomes new members with all levels of experience. You can join at any time throughout the year as your subscription covers a 12-month period and is renewed on the anniversary of when you join. Membership to the society is not open to young people under the age of eighteen. Whilst we have activities all year round, our season of talks and competitions starts on the first Monday in September, with trophies awarded at our AGM in June. We run a New Members workshop each September to help orientate newcomers, explore our activities in more detail and explain how to enter competitions. When it comes to competitions, don’t be worried about your level of experience. We have three classes so you will be competing with members at a similar level, with the opportunity to progress through the classes as your skills develop. Entering competitions is not mandatory but is a great way to get feedback on your images and personal development. If this all sounds like a fit to you, come along to one of our meetings (no obligation), meet some of the members and see what it’s all about.
